What Is A Whipped Feta Dip?
Whipped feta dip is a creamy, tangy, slightly salty, savory dip that usually mixes feta with some other form of dairy, for example, Greek yogurt, quark, or cottage cheese. There are usually also other ingredients included that add to the indulgence of the dip. This can, for example, include olive oil or lemon juice. The idea is to create an indulgence that is both delicious and still carries some of the saltiness of the feta but in a more refined, lighter version.

Serving Ideas For This Creamy Whipped Feta Dip
The world is your oyster when it comes to serving this dip. You can serve it as a side when BBQing, or with some nachos, veggies, or these homemade, gluten-free easy peasy flax seed crackers (that take about 10 minutes to make). You can also use this as a spread on some (gluten-free) flatbread. Experience a bit with it – no matter what this creamy whipped feta dip will definitely not disappoint!

Easy Swaps and Questions
Can I swap the cottage cheese for another form of dairy? Yes, you can easily swap it for another type of dairy, typically Greek yogurt or quark work really well. With regular yogurt, the consistency might be a bit too thin in order to be used as a dip.
Can I use pre-crumbled feta or does it have to be block feta? You can use either, just be sure to not let too much of the oil or water get into the mixture, or leave out the olive oil when whipping the spread.
Why is my whipped feta dip too thick/thin/chunky? If your whipped feta is not turning out as it should, this usually comes down to the ingredients used. If it is too thick, try troubleshooting it with some more liquid in the form of olive oil, lemon juice, or milk. If the mixture is too thin, there was possibly too much liquid in the mix. Try adding more feta (preferably from a block), or let it sit in the fridge for 30 – 60 minutes. It usually tends to firm up quite nicely. If the mixture is too chunky, add a bit of additional Greek Yogurt or cottage cheese and blend again until smooth.
